About me
Josiah is a Kanaka Maoli Associate Professor of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech and director of the Ka Moamoa Lab, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He directs research and programs to advance Indigenous sovereignty, education, and environmental protection through sustainable energy harvesting technologies, conservation, health wearables, interactive devices, and culturally empowering education. In partnership with Ulu Lahui Foundation, he seeks to advance place based and culturally relevant computer science that is more engaging for Native Hawaiians, and locals, across Hawaii.
